By Sellick Partnership

At Sellick Partnership, our commitment to giving back to the community has always been at the heart of what we do. We believe that, as a business, we have a responsibility to create a positive impact – whether that’s by supporting local charities, reducing our environmental footprint, or empowering our employees to make a difference.

In 2025, we focused on maintaining the strong momentum built in 2024 while continuing to increase the scale and reach of our CSR efforts. Building on the rebrand of our charity committee to the CSR Committee, we strengthened our approach across fundraising, volunteering and sustainability, with a continued emphasis on reducing our environmental impact and making a positive contribution beyond our core business activities.

Through collaboration and creativity, our team has been determined to deliver meaningful results that benefit us all. Here’s a closer look at everything we’ve achieved in 2025.

Our core CSR objectives

  • Working in partnership with our corporate charity partners through fundraising, donation and volunteering opportunities - helping to create a meaningful impact in the local communities we are committing to support.
  • Maintain and encourage volunteering opportunities - making them more accessible across the business, ensuring a greater social impact while supporting our social value commitments in tenders and proposals.
  • Continue to enhance our environmental initiatives, acknowledging their vital role in society and their growing significance in securing new business opportunities.
  • Continue and increase support to our local communities by enhancing workplace skills and addressing unemployment through the delivery of employability workshops.

Charities we support

As a business, we partner with a wide range of national and regional charities. Our CSR representatives lead this work by encouraging employees to get involved in ways that suit them, from company wide initiatives to causes that matter personally to each individual. Our chosen charities for 2025/2026 include:

Fundraising highlights

In 2025, we raised over £30,000 (a £10,000 increase on 2024 fundraising) for a range of causes, demonstrating the generosity of our teams. From our offices across the UK, we saw employees dedicate time and effort to fundraising activities, including:

  • Sporting tournaments: We held two charity football tournaments, each supporting a different cause: Manchester Professionals' Football League, raising funds for Moya Cole Hospice and Midlands Charity Football Tournament, supporting me&dee.
  • Yorkshire Three Peaks: The team embarked on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in support of Henshaws, raising an impressive £2,436. Over the course of the 24-mile hike, they showcased incredible teamwork and determination, despite the heatwave conditions. To make the experience even more memorable, the group stayed overnight and enjoyed some well-earned downtime together.

Other fundraising efforts ensured there was something for everyone, with activities including half marathons, 10 kilometre runs and netball tournaments, alongside End of Financial Year Awards table donations, coffee mornings, quizzes, and books and bakes, all of which helped raise significant funds for our chosen charities.

Volunteering hours

Our employees went above and beyond, collectively contributing over 140 volunteering hours in 2025. We are aiming to surpass this in 2026 by supporting all of our chosen charities throughout the year. From assisting with local charity events to supporting vital services, our team dedicated time to the causes that matter most. Some of the volunteer days included working with Leeds Children’s Charity, Wood Street Mission, Henshaws and me&dee.

For Wood Street Mission, we volunteered directly at their headquarters as part of their Christmas Appeal, where we helped families select gifts for their children, to brighten the festive season. At Henshaws, we lent a hand at their Carols by Candlelight evening at Manchester Cathedral, supporting their mission to empower individuals with visual impairments. For me&dee, Group Director Nikki Kinsey is a Board Trustee for this fantastic charity, and kindly volunteers outside of working hours to help support their vision and mission and further support their communities through a range of initiatives across the year.

Donation days

As part of our commitment to giving back, we took part in several donation days:

  • Easter egg collections
  • Book collection
  • Clothes donations
  • Stationery collection
  • Christmas toy collections

These efforts ensured that those in need had access to essential items, and offered our teams a variety of opportunities to support those within their communities. Find out more here about how you can make charitable activities more accessible to employees.

Sustainability and carbon footprint improvements

Following our success in 2024 of beginning to prioritise sustainability as a core part of our CSR efforts, we shifted our focus in 2025 to maintain and improve on this – working in conjunction with Samsic. To reduce our environmental footprint, we continued to encourage car sharing and promoted the cycle-to-work scheme. We also encouraged employee participation in initiatives such as:

  • Meat-free lunch
  • 10k steps challenge

These initiatives not only raised awareness about sustainability but also encouraged positive lifestyle changes within our team. Similar to 2024, we saw a vast majority of our employees get involved in these initiatives – which also switched up from our usual fundraising, donation activities and allowed people to get involved in other ways to increase our CSR efforts.

Social value and partnerships

We have strong values that are clearly defined and implement through our Social Value strategy. We've got several groups who spearhead this across the business which include our: CSR Committee, Wellbeing Champions, Social Value Leads, Diversity Champions and Carbon Reduction Lead. The volunteers that make up these committee groups are all truly passionate about delivering social value and driving change, with a focus on a range of initiatives from developing local skills and job prospects, to minimising our impact on the environment, improving health & wellbeing, and working with a range of charities to support vital causes. We are continually investing in new ways to support our local communities, champion the needs of under-represented communities and add value to every partnership.

Our engagement in social value initiatives continued through various partnerships and employability workshops throughout 2025. Previously, we partnered with Northampton University and Adullam Housing, and most recently partnered with long-standing client, Spring Housing Association to host social value workshops and sales training sessions. Often, these workshops are tailored to the target audience, and often include content covering CV and interview tips and advice, networking and how to make/build connections, how to use LinkedIn to find your next move, what to expect in your first job and information around what hiring managers look for in an employee. Each workshop is tailored to their service users meaning our team are able to bespoke the content throughout each session to be focused on what was important to each individual client and the needs of attending delegates. Below is some fantastic feedback we have received from our charity partners:

Looking ahead

2025 has been another highly successful year for Sellick Partnership’s CSR Committee; with a strong focus on sustainability alongside our charitable and volunteering efforts, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved and excited to continue building on this momentum in 2026 and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our initiatives, donated, volunteered, or taken part in our events. Your efforts make a real difference!
