Throughout 2023 we put a huge emphasis on our charitable initiatives and we are delighted to announce that we raised over £15,000 for multiple local and national charities.
We took part in, and hosted, several different events throughout the year to reach our impressive fundraising total. As well as charity lunches, quizzes, and fancy dress days, we held five different sporting tournaments, including the Manchester Professionals’ Football League, the Manchester Professionals’ Cricket League, a tennis tournament, and two one-day football tournaments facilitated by the Newcastle and Derby offices.
The money raised from each of these initiatives went to a number of charities, including St Ann’s Hospice, Lord’s Taverners, me&dee, Cancer Research UK, If U Care Share, Daft as a Brush, Leeds Children’s Charity, Aliya Youth, Shelter, I AM, Cash for Kids and Dementia UK.

Not only have we made monetary donations to charity, but there have also been collections of food, clothes, and Christmas presents. On top of this, every member of staff has been given a fully-paid day each year to take part in voluntary work – with almost 100 hours spent volunteering from last year alone.
Most of the staff members that took advantage of the volunteering perk spent time at Manchester-based charity, Wood Street Mission, and sight-loss charity, Henshaws: packing collateral, assisting with campaigns, and helping to facilitate events.
Laura Hayward, Group Director and Board sponsor for our Charity Champions, said: “The most rewarding aspect for me is being able to facilitate and provide opportunities for the business to make a difference with local and national charities.
“Employees want to give back and at Sellick Partnership they have the opportunity to do so. Our goal is making our initiatives accessible to allow our employees to contribute in a way that best suits them. This is why we don’t focus solely on sporting events for example, not everyone wants to be involved in them and would prefer to take part in a bake sale or donation appeal.
“With this in mind, we’ve already got big plans for 2024, and we’re excited to get started.”
