Over the years, Sellick Partnership has raised tens of thousands of pounds for St Ann’s Hospice who help care for patients and families that are affected by life limiting-illnesses, and without the incredible support from all of our participating teams, this would not be possible.
We launched the MPFL with three aims:
In our last tournament in 2023, Clearwater International lifted the Cup whilst Azets won the Plate competition.
There were some really close games as we approached the finals in our previous league which took place in January 2023 and we are looking forward to seeing the continued sportsmanship on the pitch for the 2024 tournament! The League will kick-off on Thursday 11 January 2024 at Powerleague Central in Ardwick - if you have an enquiry or want to submit your interest, you can do so by completing the form at the bottom of this page.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all participating teams, both returning teams and those new to the league – the continued support to the MPFL and ongoing contributions to St Ann’s Hospice really does make a huge difference.
"I am delighted to welcome you to the annual Manchester Professional’s Football League (MPFL)! The league is in its 14th year – each year going from strength-to-strength. We are delighted to have supported our chosen charity, St Ann’s Hospice over the years, raising thousands of pounds for the vital care that they provide every day to our community and their families - and we couldn’t have done it without the support of each and every one of our participating teams.
As ever, I wish you all an extremely enjoyable tournament and thank you for all your support and dedication. Here’s to fun, success and achievements on the pitch!"
This year, we are delighted to announce that giant umbrella will be the headline sponsor of the league! giant expressed their interest after hearing about the league going from strength-to-strength over the years, which is a testament to its success. We are delighted to have created a partnership with giant which shares the synergy of the MPFL and are extremely grateful for their support.
Since our formation in 2002 we have worked with local and national charities to raise vital funds. We help people find their dream career every day, but also recognise that it is equally as important to help others and support the communities we are a part of.
We actively support the community through a number of sporting initiatives across the UK which include a cricket and a football league, two established football tournaments and a range of fundraising activities organised by our regional offices.
Since first establishing, giving back to the community has always been a priority for us. We work with a range of regional and national charities across the UK, and we encourage all of our staff to get involved as much as possible.
