Sellick Partnership is seeking an associate to join a firm in London, working in the growing construction team. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with 0-3 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally within a construction team or housing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with non-contentious construction law matters, including advising on standard form construction contracts and appointments.
  • Work with various forms of construction contracts such as JCT, NEC, and EPC, gaining experience in their standard amendments and market norms.
  • Contribute to complex and bespoke agreements, providing support on large-scale due diligence exercises and development arrangements with appropriate supervision.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and clients on commercial and housing development work.
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to building know-how in the practice.

Key Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of experience in construction law or a related field.
  • Previous exposure to non-contentious construction law and standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC).
  • Some experience with commercial and/or housing development work is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and appointments, including knowledge of market norms and standard amendments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to take on complex projects with appropriate supervision.
