Maintenance Surveyor

Sellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Maintenance surveyor for a social housing organisation based in Stockton.

The Maintenance surveyor will be responsible for managing repairs and voids within Stockton of up to 1500 properties, collaborating with internal teams and contractors to provide high-quality, timely repairs for our customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Surveyor:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of repairs and voids maintenance services, overseeing the progress of works orders within agreed timeframes
  • Handle complex and major repairs cases including insurance claims resulting from fires and other major incidents and disrepair inspections as required
  • Liaise with customers, arrange visits to identify any repairs required, raising repairs, writing any required reports, and manage through to completion
  • Complete repairs post-inspections and checks to ensure quality, value for money and customer satisfaction
  • Carry out full house surveys following damp, mould and condensation requests, to strict timescales, managing each case through to completion, with accurate data recording
  • Collaborate with contractors on joint pre- and post-inspections, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the repair process
  • Review and authorise variations, scrutinise payment certificates and order requests prior to payment, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance
  • Support colleagues with ongoing repair issues, helping to resolve long-standing problems and eliminating service delays

The Maintenance Surveyor must have:

  • HNC in Building or equivalent qualification or qualified through experience in maintenance or construction
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
