Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in Wolverhampton. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week required onsite.

The Ideal HR Business Partner will establish and maintain credibility as a senior HR professional on the people strategy and support the development of the strategy. The post holder will ensure the delivery of a high quality strategic and operational HR services whilst actively contributing to developing policies in line with best practice and employment law.

The duties of the HR Business Partner will include

  • Work in partnership with the senior management team and other professional advisers such as finance, to develop and deliver a strategic and operational HR Plan consistent with the business plan, HR strategy and HR Plan
  • Drive staff engagement levels and embed a positive culture recommending and facilitating improvements in line with the organisation's initiatives
  • Identify risks and develop action plans for assigned departments and work collaboratively with colleagues to identify alignment of risk with other areas, ensuring an action plan is collaboratively produced
  • Ensure compliance with the HR and people related policies, procedures and processes
  • Source and utilise appropriate HRMI to identify non-compliance/issues and implement remedial measures as appropriate including absence, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, recruitment and selection etc.
  • Assist senior managers in the development of staff resource/workforce plans which anticipate proposed operational developments. Review and test business cases associated with recruitment and employment proposals prior to their approval
  • Provide advice, guidance and support on medium/long term organisational design including recruitment, and retention
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to senior managers on organisational change, TUPE, job design, policies and procedures, recruitment, equality and diversity, redundancy and staff development
  • Work with senior managers to plan and deliver change initiatives including trade union communication, promoting staff engagement, implementation of changes to people practices and the workforce profile
  • Identify HR service improvement opportunities within HR operations
  • Responsibility for driving the EDI action plans
  • Support the ER team with complex employee relation cases including investigations, appeals, implementation of legal advice and employment tribunal claims

The HR Business Partner will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working at a similar level is essential
  • Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
  • Experience of working in estates and facilities management would be beneficial
  • Experience of successfully developing and managing complex change programmes and projects

The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
