Legal Support Assistant - Family Department

Location: Hereford

Salary: £24,600 - £27,800

Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with a progressive, forward-thinking law firm to recruit a Legal Support Assistant (Paralegal) for their highly regarded Family Department, based in their spacious, modern, open-plan office in Hereford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative and legal support to fee earners within the Family Department
  • Prepare initial appointment communications and client correspondence
  • Use DocuSign for electronic signatures where required
  • Assist with efficient billing processes
  • Support with court proceedings, including:
  • Filing applications and documents with the court
  • Preparing and producing court bundles
  • Maintain a professional, confidential and friendly approach at all times
  • Demonstrate strong self-management, initiative and organisational skills
  • Contribute to the smooth running of a busy, team-oriented department

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel and able to work across different IT platforms
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a legal support, administrative, or professional services role (not essential for the right candidate)
  • Experience working within a Family or Litigation team would be an advantage
