Contentious Construction Associate - 3+ PQE
Bristol or Bath (Hybrid Working)
Up to £65,000 (DOE)

A Leading Legal 500 National Firm - Construction Disputes Practice
A highly regard national client of mine is looking to expand their construction team. They are a nationally respected, multi-service law firm ranked in the Legal 500 for our expertise across core commercial sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-value construction disputes for a wide range of clients across the public and private sectors. You'll advise contractors, developers, funders, and consultants on contentious matters arising from major infrastructure, development, and energy projects. There will also be a small element of non contentious work as well, but the large majority will be contentious.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload of construction disputes through litigation, adjudication, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
Advising clients on risk management and dispute avoidance strategies
Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence, and preparing for hearings
Working closely with senior lawyers and partners on large-scale, high-profile disputes
Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining excellent client relationships
What could make you stand out?
3+ years' PQE with solid experience in contentious construction matters
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, and FIDIC forms
Proven ability to run cases and manage adjudications or TCC proceedings
Proven success with billings and business development
A commercial mindset and a proactive, client-focused approach
