Overview of the Actuarial Consultant role

Sellick Partnership is currently partnered with a well-established consultancy who are looking to recruit an Actuarial Consultant into their growing team.

This is a strong opportunity for an actuarial professional who is progressing through the IFoA exams and looking to further develop their technical expertise within a client-facing environment.

The role would suit someone with pensions experience who is keen to build on their consultancy exposure while supporting a range of projects and client work.

Key responsibilities of the Actuarial Consultant will include

  • Supporting actuarial analysis across a portfolio of pension schemes
  • Contributing to funding and investment advice for clients
  • Assisting with actuarial valuations and calculations
  • Supporting risk management and compliance activities
  • Communicating technical findings clearly to clients and stakeholders

Required experience/qualifications of the Actuarial Consultant will include

  • Progress towards IFoA qualifications
  • Experience within pensions actuarial work or consultancy
  • Strong understanding of actuarial principles and methodologies
  • Experience supporting pension scheme valuations and calculations
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
